EV charge point operator Be.EV has formed a new strategic partnership with Paua to enhance network coverage for commercial drivers. The partnership will add 700 more charge points to the Paua EV charging network.

The partnership between Be.EV and Paua increases the total number of EV connectors available to Paua customers in Greater Manchester to 1,800. Of these, more than 1,000 are high-powered DC chargers.

Be.EV, established in Greater Manchester in 2019, is the UK’s fastest-growing EV charging network. Currently, it manages a network of more than 700 live charge points, with plans to add more than 300 additional points by the end of 2024. Supported by 110 million pounds from Octopus Energy Generation, Be.EV focuses on providing reliable and accessible EV charging nationwide.

Paua provides drivers with access to more than 54,000 charge points at 17,000 locations managed by in excess of 35 charging providers across the UK. Paua simplifies electric fleet management and charging payments through advanced technology, setting the standard for a national roaming network since 2022.

Niall Riddell, Chief Executive and Co-founder of Paua said: “Be.EV is demonstrating true leadership in ensuring that EV drivers are catered for across the country. Starting in the North and with the backing of Octopus, extending across the UK ensures drivers get access to high-quality, well-priced, reliable and green electricity. We are delighted to be working with Be.EV.”
