Exicom, India’s largest EV charger manufacturer, has announced its entry into the UK and European market. The company plans to strengthen its distribution channel and will be providing EV chargers through direct sales channels too.

As part of its global expansion strategy, Exicom has identified Europe as a key market for its home charging and business solutions. Exicom unveiled its first-of-its-kind EV charging product, Harmony Direct DC 360 Fast Charger at the London EV Show, designed especially for the European market. These DC chargers are suitable for installation at fueling stations, retail locations, highways and commercial premises to charge electric fleets.

“The plan is to create a legal entity and also work with distributor partners. If we just sit in India and try to distribute through distributors, we can’t build a big business. Having a local presence is crucial because, like every market, the European market has different regulations, a lot of complications, and a different language,” said Priyank Agarwal, Vice- President, Strategy and Business Development – Electric Mobility, Exicom.

The company is considering markets including the Nordics, the UK and the western part of Europe. “We have initiated the implementation of our strategic plan, which includes staffing and establishing our office. Our operations are expected to commence by the end of 2023.”

Exicom also unveiled its latest breakthrough – the ‘Spin Air’ EV AC Charger, that’s meant for home electric vehicle charging. Spin Air seamlessly integrates state-of-the-art technology, user-friendly features, and elegant design. Solar compatibility allows users to harness renewable energy, while load balancing and power sharing ensure optimal energy distribution within the home environment, claims the press release.  Additionally, it’s integration with Exicom’s Spin Control mobile app empowers users to remotely monitor, schedule, and receive real-time updates on their charging sessions.
