Registration Charging Infrastructure Innovation Award open

Which innovation contributes most to improving the charging infrastructure in Belgium? That question is at the heart of the LaadInfra Innovation Award election. Entries for it are open this week.

Belgium is investing in an infrastructure for sustainable mobility. Innovative ideas help make this development possible. That is why Promedia, organiser of the Congress Laadinfra Belgium, has launched the election Laadinfra Innovation Award. Starting this week, people working in the charging infrastructure sector, and stakeholders, can submit their own innovation – or someone else’s – for this prestigious award. The criteria:

  • Innovative and new to the market;
  • Currently on the market or coming to market in 2024;
  • Contribute to the improvement of the charging infrastructure sector.

The application closes on 15 December. A professional jury, whose names will be announced shortly, will consider the entries and nominate the top contenders. The three nominees will have a chance to win the Charging Infra Innovation Award, which will be presented on 18 January 2024 at Brussels Expo during the Brussels Auto Show. The winner will be chosen based on the jury’s vote (50%) and online votes (50%).

The Congres Laadinfra ’24 in Brussels had a very successful launch last year with over 350 visitors. At least as many people are expected to attend this second edition.

The Laadinfra Innovation Award has a Dutch and Belgian equivalent. In the Netherlands, the
2023 award was won by Watthub, the largest loading plaza for heavy equipment.
