TotalEnergies has partnered with Swobbee to deploy its stations across its retail network to enhance public charging infrastructure.

TotalEnergies will provide Swobbee’s battery exchange services to light electric vehicles (LEVs) across its fuel retail network in Germany. Customers will be able to swap empty GreenPack and Torrot batteries for fully charged ones in just a few seconds..

Both companies have already been working together for several years and have successfully tested the service. Now the partners are taking the next step, which involves gradually equipping TotalEnergies sites in major German cities with Swobbee’s stations.

The first battery-swap location has been put into operation at a service station of the retailer in Berlin, with more to follow in the near future. “Filling stations are established mobility hubs that have attractive, conveniently located spaces in densely built-up cities – ideal conditions for becoming the energy hub of the future. The integration of charging infrastructure for light electric vehicles takes into account the differentiation of mobility, which is currently in full swing,” said Thomas Duscha, Managing Director and co-founder of Swobbee.
