TotalEnergies opens France’s third electric-only service station

As part of its strategy of deploying high-power charging stations, TotalEnergies has inaugurated France’s third 100% electric service station in Normandy. Located in Rouen’s city center, the site is equipped with 7 ultra-fast charging points (up to 300 kW), enabling car batteries to be recharged in less than 30 minutes.

This new opening is part of the firm’s plans to operate nearly 500 high-power recharging sites in the country by 2025. The company aims to establish 200 locations on the national road network and 300 stations in towns and transit zones such as airports and tourist areas.

“With nearly 250 stations equipped by the end of 2023, TotalEnergies is positioning itself as a key player in electric mobility in France, confirming its ambition to offer its customers high-power charging stations every 100 kilometers,” said Pierre-Emmanuel Bredin, Vice President of Network and Mobility Solutions at TotalEnergies France.

Apart from these locations, TotalEnergies operates more than 16,000 charging points in France. Since 2020, the company has also been deploying charging stations in cities. These include Antwerp (3,000), Brussels (500), Ghent (800), Amsterdam and its region (22,000), London (1,700), Paris (2,300), Singapore (1,500) and Wuhan (11,000).
